Nā Hōkū Hanohano nominated J.Lyn is a Singer/Songwriter, & Educator based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. J.Lyn is a singer/songwriter whose work spans live performance, film/TV, and music education. Known for her versatility and unique voice, she has performed on world-renowned stages including the Troubadour in Los Angeles and Blue Note Hawaii in Waikīkī, sharing the spotlight with legendary artists such as Henry Kapono and ʻukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.

As a songwriter, J.Lyn co-wrote the debut EP for alternative-pop band Kennedy Taylor & the Electric Pancakes, which earned a nomination for Alternative Album of the Year at the 2022 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. Her breakout international success came with “Make Me Forget,” an EDM hit performed by Chinese pop artist Ann-E1, which charted at #23 on the Cloudmusic Soaring Chart and #6 on China’s Global Song Chart.

In recent years, J.Lyn has collaborated with TikTok, the Recording Academy, Make Music Hawai‘i, Creative Lab Hawai‘i (2023 Music Immersive), and the Henry Kapono Foundation as an On the Rise featured artist.

When not performing or writing, she teaches Songwriting and Music Theory at Honolulu Community College’s MELE (Music and Entertainment Learning Experience) program, mentoring the next generation of Hawai‘i’s music creators.
