Kosuke
Bio
Kosuke is a Honolulu-based singer-songwriter whose smooth vocals and R&B-infused pop style have earned him growing recognition across Hawaiʻi’s music scene. With a voice honed since childhood, Kosuke began performing solo at school and community events—eventually taking his talents to Japan, where he made waves as a finalist in a nationwide talent search for Watanabe Entertainment.
While abroad, he fronted the acclaimed band The HYKE, reached the finals of the AMUSE entertainment audition, and performed with SoFar Sounds Japan in 2017—gaining valuable experience and an international perspective on his artistry.
Upon returning to Hawaiʻi in 2019, Kosuke dove deeper into the industry by enrolling in the MELE program at Honolulu Community College, where he studied studio engineering and graduated in 2022. His technical skill and musicality led to internships at Blue Planet Studios and opportunities to work with Grammy-nominated producer Shawn Pimental. In the studio, he has collaborated on recordings with celebrated Hawaiʻi artists such as Jake Shimabukuro, Justin Young, Del Beazley, Johnny Helm, and Paula Fuga.
Today, Kosuke continues to shape his sound both as a solo artist and as a lead vocalist for the four-member R&B group SoLUXE—whose debut work earned two 2024 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations for R&B Album of the Year and Single of the Year. Whether performing solo or with SoLUXE, Kosuke brings soulful vocals, emotional depth, and an unwavering dedication to every stage he steps on.
He is currently working on new solo music, set to release later this year.
