Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Nick Laʻa, solo artist and frontman of Laʻa Band, has music in his core. Performing on stage since age five, he grew up immersed in Hawaiian culture and musical traditions. A graduate of Punahou School, Nick was mentored by local legends such as Brother Noland and Kristian Lei. His diverse musical influences include Bruno Mars, David Foster, and Quincy Jones, allowing him to span genres from musical theater and jazz to rock, Hawaiian, R&B, and pop.
Nick delights audiences, showcasing his multifaceted talent and unwavering passion for music.

Nick’s natural musicality and early training on ʻukulele and vocals evolved into mastery of the piano, guitar, and bass. His versatility has allowed him to captivate audiences across Hawaiʻi, California, and Japan, performing as a solo artist and as the lead guitarist and vocalist for his band.
His musical journey has been further enriched by sharing the stage with legend Henry Kapono and Alx & the Marksmen, collaborating with Brother Noland and Makana, and opening for renowned artists including The Mākaha Sons, Keola Beamer, and Paula Fuga.
