Working across multiple artist projects, including Stephen Saint Joseph, holosol, Serpens, Velvet Sol, and AZHES, Stephen has built a diverse catalog that spans genres and audiences.
His work has reached millions of listeners and has been featured in film, television, and major brand campaigns, while maintaining a strong connection to Hawaiʻi’s music community.
His sophomore album Hey Child earned critical recognition, with its title track winning the 2024 Hawaiʻi Songwriters Festival songwriting contest and the album earning a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nomination for R&B/Soul Album of the Year. He also won the 2024 Mana Maoli Song Contest for “Babylon,” a collaboration with his sister Pohai.
His musical foundation was shaped early through family and mentorship, including his ʻOhana, the 80’s pop band, the Jets and his hānai uncle, internationally renowned singer/songwriter Kris Kristofferson, Inspired by: Kris Kristofferson, Gabby Pahinui,George Kahumoku Jr. Bon Iver, Jack Johnson, John Mayer,Beethoven Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Kenny Loggins…a wide range of influences that continue to inform his genre-blending approach. As both an artist and producer, he brings a distinctive sound rooted in soul and storytelling.
Beyond his own work, Stephen is an accomplished producer, collaborating with a growing roster of artists across Hawaiʻi. He also leads ʻOhana Productions, a boutique media and event company, and curates ʻOhana Sessions, an intimate digital performance platform.
