We Are Friends 2.0 - Basic Essentials Relief Program

The We Are Friends 2.0, Basic Essentials Relief Emergency Program provides short-term assistance for the entertainment industry professionals within the State of Hawaiߵi, who are unable to work due to an interruption in bookings, health issues, or are unexpectedly incapable of earning an income. The program is in partnership with Foodland Stores to secure “Basic Essentials” and receive relief from the lost gigs, lessons, recording sessions, stage production, and other music-related professional work.


 
 

Rental & Utility Relief Program

COVID The Rental and Utility Relief Program provide rent relief, past due & future utility, home energy, unsafe or unhealthy living conditions, for eligible renter households are those with incomes of no more than 80 percent of area median income. This is specifically for rental assistance, and not mortgage assistance. As programs will be paused for processing, please check the specific island link to identify the status of accepting applications.


State Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA)

The Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program assists households that are unable to pay rent and/or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

LIHEAP for Energy Assistance: Hawaii Link

Financial assistance available to help Hawaiian Electric, Hawaii Gas, and Kauai Island Utility Cooperative customers who are in need, pay bills through CARES Act funding, and other aid available from government and nonprofit organizations.

 

DHHL COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program

The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement is partnering with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to provide rental assistance for families impacted by the pandemic.

Discounted Distance learning options available for low-income families   Learning devices, remote learning programs, and free wireless internet access in Honolulu, Hawaii.

 

Emergency Internet Broadband Relief Program

Providing a temporary discount on monthly internet bills for qualifying low-income households.

 

Lifeline - Federal Assistance for Phone Services

Since 1985, the Lifeline program has provided a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services. Lifeline is part of the Universal Service Fund.
